It's been a busy week around here....almost too busy.
There were many things that needed finishing and new projects coming up even faster than old ones could be completed. This has meant some long days and some deep thoughts late in the day when my mind needed a break. I have to admit I felt overwhelmed earlier this week and it led to some frustrating moments, but things were quickly put back into perspective when I saw the video below about Nick Vujicic.
Tom and I started a series of live training calls late last year to meet the demand we had from people all over the country to share with them the successful strategies we have been using. This week we finally put the finishing touches on over 7 hours of live training, Between the calls and the preparation it really was a big task.
At the same time we have been working with one of our private coaching clients work with the approximately 60 investment properties he and some partners have recently acquired. That number is not a typo!
So as you can imagine with only these two tasks alone there was some extra time commitment needed, plus you add on the normal tasks and goals, and things can start to snowball a bit. I am sure you have been in a similar situation, I can see you nodding your head right now!
With all this going on my work hours this week looked like this
Monday 7 AM - 10 PM
Tuesday 6 AM - 8 PM
Wednesday 6:30 AM - 9:30 PM
For some people that might be normal, but for me it was a lot. By the time Wednesday evening came around my mind was starting to really drift on me. I felt like there was too much going on and I had too much on my plate. So I started checking one of my email accounts that I have a lot of subscriptions go to, and one of the messages was from the blog of Tim Ferriss he is the author of "The 4-Hour Workweek", which is a great book and obviously something I wasn't doing this week 🙂
He was sharing the video below. After watching this I can tell you that any sense of being overwhelmed I had quickly vanished. Things were immediately put back into perspective, and from all the comments around this man I was not the only person to feel that way.
I hope it has the same impact on you! Let me know what you think.
