We go to Europe each summer and always have a blast.
Beaches, island time, good food, family...obviously love it all.
The great wine. Have I mentioned the great wine? LOL.
And this year we did some ATVing on the island of Hvar and some rafting on the mainland.
See that picture?
That's both our families riding down the Cetina river in Croatia a couple weeks back.
That river is 100km long and dumps out into the Adriatic Sea, in a town called Omis (pronounced "O-mee-sh") close to where we have our condo on the coast.
The river is pristinely clean and serves as a drinking water source for Croatia.
Along the river's journey down from the Dinara mountains, the Cetina carves through the most amazing gorges, canyons, and waterfalls.
Epic stuff.
The source of the river is a spring that is referred to as the "eye of the earth"...divers have gone down 120m and still have not been able to find the bottom of it.
And...that's us white water rafting down it! LOL!
During that trip we pulled the raft into some caves and walked under some waterfalls where a natural cold plunge hides.
We all jumped into the 10 degree water, in near pitch black lighting, and swam for our lives!!
Good memories for sure.
OK, on to much more serious matters...
The world is changing quickly.
I just caught up with a very good friend, high up in the tech industry, and we were just marvelling at the pace of change with Artificial Intelligence right now.
We're going through an exponential growth curve in tech that's making the "tech bubble" of the late 1990s look tiny.
And make no mistake, this isn't a bubble.
Sure, some companies will over leverage themselves and there will be consolidation in the AI space, but this is game changing.
No one, literally no one, has an accurate road map for what comes next.
But behind the scenes I can tell you that many in the tech industry think the next 2-3 years will be gangbusters for the industry, but after that there's so much concern for the amount of possible job losses that things get murky.
So right now you want to keep an eye on these developments.
With that in mind we wanted to share a few podcasts that we're finding valuable right now.
First, the BG2 Pod...it's a bi-weekly podcast on open source software, Artificial Intelligence, tech trends, and the impact on the US economy.
This week's latest episode was super interesting.

The discussion helps give you little insights into how all this is evolving.
The next is probably my absolute favourite right now.
Jordi Visser is an ex-hedge fund guy who started putting out a weekly show on YouTube every Sunday morning.
It's full of incredible information.

Some weeks the focus will be more on the economy than on Artificial Intelligence, but most of the time he covers it all...the economy, AI, and how Bitcoin fits into this new world.
He is one of the best analysts out there right now.
High signal from Jordi for sure. Highly recommend him. Check out his substack too.
He does a weekly podcast every Friday on Anthony Pompliano's podcast, The Pomp, as well.
The third podcast is Moonshots with Peter H. Diamandis.

He has some regulars on there but also has special guests join.
They do an incredible job of extrapolating trends a few years into the future.
Lately, they've been focusing on Artificial Intelligence heavily (everyone is!) and what it means to the economy, careers, finances etc.
And there you have it...three great sources of information to perhaps help prepare you for what comes next.
And while we're at it...
We have to mention our own! The Your Life! Your Terms! Show.

You can check it out on YouTube and hit the subscribe button while you're there!!
We cover real estate, Bitcoin, health, fitness, business, marketing, and anything else that catches our interest.
We appreciate everyone who listens and thanks for the feedback over the years, it means a lot to us!
OK, that's it for this week.
Enjoy these summer days!
Tom & Nick
p.s. There's a few good books out right now that we're either reading or listening to...we'll share those in the next few weeks as well!
