A Tree Fell on My House, Quick NYC Trip & Next Week's Class!

So we darted over to New York City for a quick trip and, as usual, had a blast.
Don't let what you see online turn you off...the place has issues, for sure, but overall it's a gem of a city to visit.
My daughter wanted to go the "Friends TV Show Experience" and I went in with very low expectations.
For those below the age of 40, Friends was a hit TV show in the 1990s and she's watched all the episodes more than once. She's a huge, huge fan.
And I was wrong about "The Experience"; it was very well done. We sat in Central Perk and took pictures on Joey's apartment set.
We even created a TikTok about the experience that must remain sequestered in the private family chat.
And we finally went to FAO Shwarz, the famous toy store in Rockefeller Centre.
If you want to see some of the best toy demonstrations...magic tricks, drones, roller shoes, stuffed animals, and old-school candy...it's the place.
We ate, toured around, and had a great time.
And as we got back home to Toronto the first text message that popped up on my phone was from a contractor working on our house.
He shared three pictures of a large tree on our front lawn that had fallen and hit our house.
Luckily, by some miracle, the only damage seems to be a small section of eavestroughs. It could have been much worse! We got very lucky.
Together with my "tree guy" and three other guys helping out we spent the next 5 hours cutting it all down and moving it to the curb.
Fun times!!
