First Came The Volatility Next Comes The Storm: Global Economic Indicators Collapsing But Oil Is Still High, The US Dollar Is Setting Records & Interest Rates Are Still Trending Up - Where The Heck Do We Go From Here? with Tom Karadza

What a complete mess...in Canada, the U.S. and globally.

But with that mess comes opportunity.

The US currently spends $400 Billion dollars are year on interest payments.

But they're $30 Trillion dollars in debt.

When all that debt rolls over at the current higher interest rates, they're looking at $1 Trillion dollars in interest payments a year!!

In short order, the U.S. could be using 25% of their entire annual budget just for interest payments. Unbelievable.

They are currently short about $100B dollars for such payments. This would mean they're going to be short about another $500 billion dollars a year just to make their interest payments.

This is called a debt spiral. And the ending isn't pretty.

And Canada is no angel. We're printing money and sending out cheques for everything from license plate renewal refunds, climate action, and anything else they can come up with.

We're desperate for new housing in this country, but with inflation of material costs and labour shortages we can't even build close to what we need (estimates are we're going to be short at least 750,000 new homes over the next 10 years - yes, that's absolutely shocking).

The US Dollar continues to remain strong as the Euro and some developing markets are showing major signs of weakness.

Heck, Turkey just REDUCED its interest rates while its inflation is running north of 60%.

Argentina's official inflation rate is 71%.

The housing market is gyrating, the crypto space is full of confusing narratives, and the bond market is at an inflection point.

Where do we go from here?

The idea of becoming a real estate developer seems daunting to many people, after all the funds and experience needed can be daunting.

Michal and Lukasz Wywrot started their building careers with individual custom homes.

Cherry Chan, a Canadian real estate tax wizard, will explain how real estate investors can (legally) pay less taxes on their investment properties by deducting the interest on their primary residence mortgage.

By default, interest on the primary residence mortgage is not a tax-deductible expense in Canada.

But there are a few strategies you can use to convert the mortgage interest on your primary residence to a deductible mortgage expense.
