I can’t tell you what an impact books have had on our lives.
I doubt there’s a month that goes by without and order from Amazon or Chapters landing at our doorsteps.
1. Winning Through Intimidation, Robert Ringer
Too many people are too timid in business. But don’t misunderstand. We don’t mean that you have to be a pushy sales guy/girl to get what you want.
Actually, it’s the exact opposite. You want to listen, help and be of value.
But what you do want to do is tip the business playing field in your favour.
Every industry has “accepted norms” that are followed by the 99%.
You want to be the 1% that changes the terms and does business your way, on your terms.
This book will show you how by taking you through Robert’s own experiences.
2. Losing My Virginity, Richard Branson
To make an impact on your community you must think nationally.
To make an impact on your country you must think globally.
To make an impact on the world you must think intergalatically.
We first heard those words from Dr. DeMartini and he was bang on.
Richard Branson is flying into space and he’s definitely made a global impact.
His book is a complete eye-opener. This is a man who takes massive action and doesn’t let anything stand in his way.
It reads like a fictional novel. If you’re looking for inspiration then this is the book for you.
3. Think & Grow Rich, Napolean Hill
This book is an absolute must read. It’s written in “old English” and can be difficult to follow at times but it’s an all time classic for a reason.
We can’t count the number of entrepreneurs that attribute a portion of their success to Napolean Hill’s classic Think & Grow Rich.
We used to believe business success was due to “massive action” alone. It’s not. You need the right spiritual and emotional mindsets as well.
This book covers it all. Get it.
4. Ready, Fire, Aim, by Michael Masterson
Michael Masterson is the real deal. He’s started multiple business from scratch and grown them to over $10 Million in revenues … each.
And one to over $100 Million.
This book is all about real-world, practical ways to build a business from scratch.
From making offers, to measuring the value of each customer … he covers it all in a very easy to read manner.
We love reading books from people who have actually done what they’re talking about. This one is a huge favourite.
There’s enough information in the first half of the book to make the investment well worth it.
5. No B.S. Time Management for Entrepeneurs, by Dan Kennedy
Let’s face it, we all waste time.
Imagine how much you could get done with just an extra hour a day.
By following Dan’s advice we now successful block out “time vampires” with ease.
He has very practical strategies for getting more done.
We’ve spent over $60,000 on different products and mentoring from Dan and can tell you this guy practices what he preaches.
If you’re struggling to get things done then we strongly encourage you to pick up this book.
It’s difficult to pick only five books but there you have it.
If anyone from our family or close friends asked for a general list that’s what we’d give.
One last thing…
We’ve found that we spend 30 minutes a day reading first thing in the morning it puts us into a much better place spirtually and emotionally … which then leads to us getting more done mentally during the day.
For some strange reason, when we start our day reading for 30 minutes instead of jumping on email we get much more done.
Until next time … Your Life! Your Terms!
