Canadian Student Rental Investing – Part 1

June 4 2009

Recently we have been upgrading one of our student rental properties. It has been fun….but time consuming :-)

Since the property is close by, I have been manging the contractors myself. One thing I learned years ago is that someone needs to be checking in on the work being done. If you don’t do it yourself you need a qualified project manager that you trust.

I’ve learned the hard way that if you leave contractors to do things themselves some ‘interesting’ work can get done. Usually it is not exactly what you had envisioned.

Take a peak at one of our real estate investments in the videos below. There will be a couple more for you next week.
